… und eine aufgeregte Ameise:
Die leistete mir heute bei der mittäglichen Pastamahlzeit Gesellschaft – da hab ich ihr eine Parmesanflocke vor die Nase bzw. die Mandibeln gelegt. Nachdem sie nicht geschafft hat, die Flocke mehr als drei Zentimeter von der Stelle zu zerren, ist sie erst aufgeregt ein paarmal um sie herum gelaufen, um dann wegzurennen – mutmaßlich, um die Kolleginnen zu holen. Ich hab das nicht weiter verfolgt.
So, nach meinem Dawanda-Shop hab ich nun auch einen etsy-Shop eröffnet. “Shop” ist momentan noch übertrieben, denn ich habe genau einen Artikel. Aber der Anfang ist gemacht, und ich werde ihn nach und nach füllen.

Neue Wolle, präsentiert von neuer Ratte / new yarn, presented by a new rat:
Wollmeise 100% Merino in Poison No.5 (Intensität mittel) und Hermine in grau-weiß (Intensität dunkel, aber die Huskies werden ja immer heller – Lisa sah als Baby auch so aus und war am Ende fast weiß).
Wollmeise 100% Merino in Poison No.5 (medium intensity) and Hermine in grey-white (dark intensity which will probably change with age as huskies tend to get lighter. I once had a rat, Lisa, who looked the same when she was a kitten but turned almost completely white).
Die Wollmeise ersetzt den Strang Cables & Lace Lizard Toes, der über Ravelry eine neue Besitzerin gefunden hat, und wahrscheinlich werden Kai-Mei-Socken (Ravelry-Link) aus Cookie A.’s Buch daraus. Ich schwanke da noch ein wenig, was die Wolle angeht, das Muster will ich auf jeden Fall stricken. Zur wahl stehen außerdem Wollmeise in Wellensittichvogelfeder (dunkel) und STR Lightweight in Mossay, was ein leicht variierendes Moosgrün ist. Aber bei STR habe ich immer Angst vor der Lauflänge, wenn ich nicht toe up stricke.
The Wollmeise is replacing one skein of Cables & Lace Lizard Toes I sold via Ravelry, and I’m probably gonna use it for the Kai-Mei socks (Ravelry-Link) from Cookie A.’s book. I’m not sure though, I’m definitely gonna knit those socks, but I haven’t finally decided about the yarn. Other options are Wollmeise in Wellensittichvogelfeder (dark) and STR Lightweight in Mossay, which is a semi-solid mossy green. But as the yardage is critical with STR I prefer to knit toe-up with it, and the Kai-Mei pattern is worked cuff down.

Der Farbtest von neulich, versponnen und Navajo-verzwirnt. Für den Namen musste eine der Nereiden herhalten, das sind Meeresnymphen aus der griechischen Mythologie. Insofern ist das Foto mit Gänseblümchen und Käfer natürlich unpassend, aber a) finde ich’s hübsch und b) hatte ich grad keinen Strand zur Hand. Letzteres ist in Hamburg zugegebenermaßen eher leicht zu ändern. Vielleicht mache ich die Fotos vom fertigen Objekt an der Elbe. Ein Muster habe ich schon ausgesucht: es wird der Cream of Spinach Scarf. Klar. Vorgestern haben wir angegrillt, gestern hab ich mir einen Sonnenbrand geholt, heute fange ich einen Schal an. Naja, abends ist es ja noch ganz schön kalt …
This is the roving I testpainted the other day, spun up and navajo-plied. I named the yarn after one of the Nereids (spelled Cymodoce in English). Which makes the photo with daisies and the ladybug seem a little inappropriate ;) but a) I think it’s cute, and b) I didn’t have a beach at hand. Though I live in Hamburg and the next beach isn’t actually that far away, so I might take the finished object to the river Elbe and take photos there. I picked the Cream of Spinach Scarf. Sure. Because we had this year’s first barbecue two days ago and yesterday I got this year’s first sunburn and today I cast on a scarf. Yeah, I know … but it’s still pretty cold in the evening.
… auf dem Wäscheständer. Das Färben mach mir so viel Spaß, dass ich überlege, mehr zu färben und bei etsy oder DaWanda einzustellen. Denn so viel werde ich davon wohl nicht verspinnen.
… on the drying rack. Painting roving is so much fun, I’m thinking about painting more and put some of it up on etsy or Dawanda because I’ll never use that much.
